ticked.

Thanks for the prayers!

We got our answer.
I do in fact have Lyme disease.
They also found several co-infections
from that nasty little tick.

We are grateful for answers.
A tad discouraged at the lengthy recovery we face.
1-3 years of treatment.
SAY WHAT!?

But I choose to be thankful there IS a treatment.
Thank you for your friendship and prayers!

And Jeane' if you're reading this--
OH HOW I MISS YOU! ;)

  1. I'm here! I'm here!
And I'm tickled pink I got a personalized shout out! And I miss you too!!! But I'm not coming back. It's part pride (i've gone off and come back. twice) and part loving the less-cluttered brain I have to deal with!!). But I still blog and that helps. a little.

Lymes...I know this sounds rather cruel, but I'm glad it's that and not something much worse, which is where my mind automatically went when I read you were feeling all those symptoms! Yet, I am so so sorry. I know several people who are in the midst of enduring the pain of Lymes, and it is NO FUN at all. Especially when you're a mama of littles having to keep up with them.

Thank you for making my day!(not with the news, of course, but with the shout out). :)

  2. Lyme is a really serious, rotten disease. The only good news of such a diagnosis is that you have a chance of getting better, unlike some other diseases.

I've had it 3 years, my son got it while I was pregnant. We're in treatment. I'm not going to lie... it's rough, but like you, my faith is getting me through it.

I have found that having a really good support team, great doctor, and ones faith is vital in healing from this disease and its co infections.

If you ever want to talk, I'm here! I know how lonely and overwhelming this disease can sometimes be.

I just met you but I can tell by your attitude that you'll beat this disease.

  3. Hope you're doing well... I don't mean to scare you, but you should watch the "Under Our Skin" documentary that was on PBS (in April, I think) and is also available on streaming via Netflix (http://movies.netflix.com/WiPlayer?movieid=70118373&trkid=2361637) . Will pray for you and your family.
